Books can be dropped off between 9:00 - 3:00, Monday - Friday. We encourage parents to keep students in vehicles during book drop off, please. Any HSSD books checked out from any HSSD school library can be dropped at any of the book returns. Education will continue at all public schools through AMI learning, and HSSD schools will continue AMI Days through our last day of school, which is May 28. Our Trojan Family is dedicated to continuing to provide students with a high quality education, and we are using flexibility and the best resources possible to do that online for all families. Teachers and administrators are working to make sure that every HSSD student is engaging with a teacher on a daily basis and is involved in school work through Google Classrooms and/or Zoom sessions. We are also working to ensure that every family has access to Internet and technology devices (if those resources are not available at homes, we are offering them for free). Furthermore, our staff members are dedicated to providing a continuation of services that our schools provide in addition to learning including free meals, counseling services, support from intervention professionals, curriculum and virtual field trips through our Gifted & Talented Program, support from our Special Education Team, support from our therapists, and more. VIEW MORE About HSSD AMI Days, Grab and Go Meal Schedule March 2020 HSSD is Providing Internet Access to All The HSSD is working to provide FREE Wifi access to all students who do not already have it available. - Connect at Home: If your family does not already have access to the Internet, the HSSD is installing FREE Wifi devices at the homes of students during the AMI period. E-mail your teacher or principal as soon as possible to have this installation arranged. -Connect in School Parking Lots: At all six HSSD school campus parking lots, vehicles may park and allow students to access district Wifi on district devices (which automatically connect) or personal devices. Please keep all students and family members inside vehicles while accessing Wifi at these locations. JAG Facilitator Mrs. Goodman invited the new Chartwells Mobile Teaching Cart to her classes, so that students could be part of a hands-on demonstration in healthy meal preparation. Today and Monday, students are shopping with a $25 budget at the Albert Pike WalMart, and will purchase items to take home with them and prepare a meal for their families.
